AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE AN AMOUNT NOT EXCEEDING ONE MILL TO THE JEFFERSON COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Jefferson County may contribute to the Jefferson Comprehensive Health Center from any available funds an amount not to exceed the equivalent of the proceeds of a one-mill ad valorem tax, in order to insure the delivery of medical services to the citizens of Jefferson County.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
